Pallet Calculator & TI‑HI Planner

Compare straight and 90° rotated uniform-grid layouts, then calculate layers, stack height and total cases. Inputs stay visible beside the result.

Geometric fit and common planning baseline are intentionally separate. The diagram does not prove a feasible forklift loading sequence, payload, axle distribution or securement plan.

PalletXYFootprintRotation

What this model includes

  • Identical rectangular pallet footprints at 0° or 90°, with optional equal gaps and four-wall clearance.
  • Mixed strip enumeration plus multiple deterministic MaxRects searches; unproven custom results are labelled “Best found”.
  • Representative dry-equipment dimensions that remain editable before calculation.

Actual clearances vary by carrier, equipment serial, wall and floor construction, liners and production tolerance. Refrigerated, pallet-wide and other special equipment use different dimensions. Confirm the assigned unit and door opening before loading.

Notes & disclaimer

  • TI is the better of the straight and 90° rotated uniform-grid rows × columns layouts. Mixed, pinwheel and interlocked patterns are not evaluated yet.
  • HI is constrained by max stack height minus the pallet base. If no max height is supplied we show one layer as a baseline.
  • Weight checks require box weight and max weight. We flag OK/Warn/Over based on totals.
