Calculator inputs and shared links
Calculator arithmetic is performed in your browser. Some tools can place dimensions, units and limits into the page URL so another person can reproduce the result. URLs may be saved in browser history, server logs or messages where you paste them. Free-text notes and labels are deliberately excluded from shared URLs. The visible URL remains available for sharing, but Google Analytics receives only the site origin and page path without the query string or fragment. Do not place personal, customer or confidential identifiers into dimension or limit fields.
Necessary storage
Outside regions handled by Google’s certified consent message, we use the browser local-storage key pc_consent_v2 to remember whether you allowed analytics and advertising and when the choice was saved. The choice expires after 180 days so it can be requested again. An earlier pc_consent_v1 analytics-only choice may be read once for migration; it does not grant advertising consent. These settings are used to respect your preference and are not calculator inputs.
Analytics and Consent Mode
Google Analytics 4 uses Advanced Consent Mode. Analytics storage defaults to granted outside the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland unless the visitor chooses otherwise. In those European regions, analytics storage defaults to denied and the published Google consent message can interpret the visitor’s choice for Analytics. Google may receive limited cookieless measurement pings for aggregate reporting and modeling when storage is denied. Our Analytics configuration sends a page address without query strings or fragments and disables Google signals and Analytics advertising-personalization signals.
Microsoft Clarity
After a visitor explicitly saves permission for analytics, the production site can load Microsoft Clarity to create aggregated interaction metrics, heatmaps and masked session recordings. Clarity may process the page path, clicks, scrolling, browser and device details, and rendered page structure. Input boxes and dropdown values are masked by Clarity in every masking mode. We do not send calculator values as Clarity custom identifiers or events, and Clarity is not loaded when the current page URL contains query parameters. Advertising and Google’s certified CMP
The production site loads the Google AdSense tag so Google can review the site, display the published consent message and, after approval, serve ads under the account’s placement settings. In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalization signals default to denied. The site uses Google’s certified CMP, integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, to request and transmit the applicable choices. Depending on the visitor’s choice and location, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized or limited ads. The site does not ask visitors to click ads, and calculator results are independent of advertising.
Support email
Messages sent to support@pallet-calculator.com are routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to a monitored Gmail inbox. The message, sender address and attachments are processed so we can answer the request and keep a record of corrections or support history.
Your controls
Use “Privacy and cookie settings” in the footer to reopen Google’s certified consent message where European regulations apply, or to manage the site’s analytics and advertising choices elsewhere. Choosing necessary-only updates Consent Mode, denies Clarity analytics storage, removes accessible Google Analytics, Clarity and advertising cookies set on this domain, and reloads the production page so the withdrawal takes effect consistently. Google may still process limited cookieless signals or limited ads where permitted. Google may also show its own regulation-specific privacy or opt-out links.
Providers and international processing
Optional services and email may be processed by Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare in countries outside your own. See the Google Privacy Policy, Google advertising information, Microsoft Privacy Statement and Cloudflare Privacy Policy for their practices.
Children and changes
The site is a general business and educational utility and is not directed to children. Material changes to this notice will be shown by updating the review date and the explanation on this page.
