Use an application brief to eliminate unsuitable channels

Suppose a buyer needs twenty traceable plastic pallets for a conveyor trial before a possible two-hundred-unit order. The brief includes the exact conveyor support, fork openings, finished-load envelope and environmental conditions. A manufacturer may provide model and application evidence; a distributor may quote fulfillment for that model. A used dealer offering only “48 × 40 plastic” has not yet supplied enough information to qualify the trial. A pool service is a different commercial option whose asset and return terms must fit the proposed loop.

Ask the manufacturer or represented brand to confirm a distributor’s role using its official contact route. Then ask the distributor to name the exact model and configuration in the quote. A statement that a supplier sells a brand does not prove that all of its advertised used stock belongs to that brand or carries the same warranty. Separate new-product representation from the authority and traceability of a particular lot.
